The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) has written to the Ministry of Civil Aviation asking for an increase in direct flights connecting to Africa, according to a report by Parul Chhaparia in Financial Chronicle. Airlines including Air India and Kingfisher, with which the Ministry had held discussions, are not keen to fly to Africa, citing commercial reasons, a Ministry official said.
